Headquartered in Uxbridge, Great London, Cadbury is one of the most popular companies in the world. The head quarter occupies 84,000 sq ft of land and has 3 parks within the complex. Initially established in Birmingham in England, the branches of Cadbury are now spread across more than fifty countries around the world. The most popular products of the Cadbury Company are Dairy Milk Chocolates. Dairy Milk was launched in 1905 and gained fame due to high content of milk. Initially having only one flavor of the chocolate, Dairy Milk now has evolved into many attractive flavors due to its likeliness among the people.

In 1824, The Cadbury Company was established by Mr John Cadbury. John Cadbury used to sell tea, coffee and chocolate drinks before the origin of Cadbury factory. Later development of the business was done by his bother Benjamin and later his sons Richard and George. Cadbury began its import to India in 1948, and now has its head office in Mumbai. The British Multinational company was renamed to Mondelez International in 2014 in India. The head office in Mumbai employs over 2000 people in various sectors of work. Some of the key Cadbury brands popular in India are – Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Silk, Oreo, Eclairs, Tang, Gems and Halls. Moreover, Cadbury is leading the chocolate business in India owning over 70% of the market share.

Many manufacturing and sales factories of Cadbury are spread across the country. One of the important manufacturing factories is in Thane. In Thane, the factory is one of the most important landmarks. Located at Pokhran Road in Thane West, the road is popularly known as Cadbury Junction and is one of the busiest locations in the city. Many hotels and parks are also situated surrounding this junction in Thane.
